School Tools

Monday through Thursday each week our School Tools department is open and needs volunteers. Volunteers who remember that great elementary teacher can now give back by volunteering their time in the School Tools school supply room. Teachers select school supplies, books and craft items from donations and we need your help to stock the shelves and assist teachers. The food donations made to the Southeast Texas Food Bank are an essential part of all the product which goes out for distribution. This food is sorted entirely by our wonderful volunteers. Every Wednesday afternoon from noon until 3:00 pm food is sorted in our sorting room. We need 20 volunteers to get the food sorted and out to the agencies so they may give it to the public. Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive

This annual food drive is conducted by letter carriers to help their local food banks. Simply put a bag of non-perishable food items at your mail box on this date and your letter carrier will get it delivered to the Southeast Texas Food Bank.

School Tools Saturday

Our School Tools program provides school supplies to 30 elementary schools in Southeast Texas that have a large percentage of low-income students. Our free store allows teachers at those schools to access the supplies once a month during the school year. The teachers in turn distribute the supplies to the children whose families cannot provide them.
