Katie Bloomfield, The Southeast Texas Food Bank’s Nutrition Education Specialist, conducted a Kids Cooking Camp for 34 children during the week of July 22 – 26. Camp participants learned the benefits of healthy cooking while having fun preparing snacks that proved eating healthy can equate to eating well. Fruit kabobs, apple cartwheels, tiny pizzas and spice cake pumpkin cupcakes were among some of the treats children prepared and enjoyed.

More information about the Southeast Texas Food Bank’s Nutrition Education Program is available on our website at Nutrition Education.
