Community Bank Supports Mobile Pantries

The Community Bank of Texas recently made a generous $5,000 donation to the Food Bank to advance our Mobile Pantry project which distributes boxes of food to poor families in our rural service territory.  The boxes delivered to rural families are a direct outcome of our Family Box volunteer sessions on the second Saturday of each month from 8:30 to 11:00 a.m.

It is great to have Community Bank’s partnership in this important fight against hunger in our rural service territory, much of which is also in Community Bank’s service footprint.  It is also great to have the broader community’s volunteer support with packing Family Boxes, so the food is ready for delivery.

Did you know that a $10 donation can provide up to 30 meals for desperate people in your community? By making a donation, you are helping to ensure that hungry children in Southeast Texas are adequately nourished, that none of our senior citizens are forced to chose between medicine and food, and that every family facing a crisis can at least have the assurance of food on the table.

Your gift goes a long, long way!
