Families who have children 21 years and younger who receive free or low-cost lunch at school are eligible for Pandemic EBT (P-EBT), a one-time benefit of about $285 per eligible child. The deadline to apply for the benefit is July 31st.
“We encourage all eligible families to take advantage of this benefit to help them put food on the table,” said Dan Maher, President/CEO of Southeast Texas Food Bank. “We are working with food pantries, schools, and community leaders to inform families about their eligibility for P-EBT and how to enroll. We know this resource can be a critical supplement to help families through this challenging time and need the community aware of the urgency involved as the deadline for enrolling approaches.”
