H-E-B Makes a Santa-Like Delivery for the Holidays

H-E-B’s corporate office shared generous holiday bounty with 16 food banks around Texas, including the Southeast Texas Food Bank, in time for the holiday season.  Their gift was so substantial it couldn’t fit on a sleigh, but it did reach us in a full 18-wheeler.  More than 2,000 cases of H-E-B corn flakes and macaroni & cheese were delivered to us today as a holiday gift from the company to be distributed to those in need.  This generous gift will yield a distribution of more than 21,000 pounds of food, the equivalency of about 18,000 meals.

Special thanks to H-E-B for making that impact on hunger in our community!

Did you know that a $10 donation can provide up to 30 meals for desperate people in your community? By making a donation, you are helping to ensure that hungry children in Southeast Texas are adequately nourished, that none of our senior citizens are forced to chose between medicine and food, and that every family facing a crisis can at least have the assurance of food on the table.

Your gift goes a long, long way!
