Holiday Help from H-E-B

H-E-B’s corporate office shared generous holiday bounty with food banks throughout Texas this holiday season. The generous gift received by us consisted of a truckload containing more than 2,000 cases of H-E-B oats and macaroni & cheese. This donation was delivered as a holiday gift from the company to be distributed to those in need through the Food Bank’s partner agencies.

This generous gift has provided the Food Bank more than 28,000 pounds of food. Using the food banking industry conversion calculation of 1.2 pounds of food per meal, this donation is enough food to support nearly 24,000 meals.

Thanks H-E-B!

Did you know that a $10 donation can help provide up to 40 meals for desperate people in your community? Rest assured, that every penny of your donation will be stretched to it’s maximum effect. By making a donation, you are helping to ensure that hungry children in Southeast Texas are adequately nourished, that none of our senior citizens are forced to chose between medicine and food, and that every family facing a crisis can at least have the assurance of food on the table.

Your gift goes a long, long way!
