National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week – Nov. 16 – 24

Annually, the week prior to Thanksgiving is an occasion to observe National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. This can be a great occasion to take some action to impact hunger. Consider marking the week in some way that increases your consciousness of the hungry and the homeless in our midst.  Here are a few thoughts of how you could help our mission while raising your consciousness:

  • Make a donation of the value of a restaurant meal for you and your family to help feed the hungry
  • Contact us to find a volunteer opportunity that will help get food to the hungry
  • Join with your family or a religious or civic organization in conducting a food drive

Thank you for helping be part of the solution to the fight against hunger!

Did you know that a $10 donation can help provide up to 40 meals for desperate people in your community? Rest assured, that every penny of your donation will be stretched to it’s maximum effect. By making a donation, you are helping to ensure that hungry children in Southeast Texas are adequately nourished, that none of our senior citizens are forced to chose between medicine and food, and that every family facing a crisis can at least have the assurance of food on the table.

Your gift goes a long, long way!
