Second Annual Zumba Away Hunger Event is a Success!

The second annual Zumba Away Hunger event held at Ford Park on Saturday, Jan. 11 (some pictures below) drew nearly 200 people to a Zumba workout session and fitness concert that lasted more than two hours.  Those participating got fit while others got fed, thanks to their contributions of more than1,600 pounds of food and cash as part of their admission fee.

Special thanks to event organizers Shon Richard, Brian Joubert and Jes Prince!

Did you know that a $10 donation can provide up to 30 meals for desperate people in your community? By making a donation, you are helping to ensure that hungry children in Southeast Texas are adequately nourished, that none of our senior citizens are forced to chose between medicine and food, and that every family facing a crisis can at least have the assurance of food on the table.

Your gift goes a long, long way!
