The publicly promoted wrap up date of the annual Share Your Christmas Food Drive held in conjunction with supportive media partner KBMT arrived on Dec. 5, with broadcasts soliciting help for holiday time donations airing on that date. Throughout the day, KBMT broadcast pleas for food drive support from its own studio, as well as Market Basket in Nederland and Kroger in Beaumont. Specific cash and food donations made by the public in anticipation of Christmas will continue to grow the resources received, but we are pleased to announce that through Dec. 5 we have received nearly 42,000 pounds of donated food and $16,000 in cash donations because of this drive.
