Take Action – September is Hunger Action Month!

The Feeding America network of food banks annually observes September as national Hunger Action Month. We urge you to come to the Food Bank to volunteer, support one of our special fundraisers (Sept. 8th – 25th Anniversary Celebration Dinner or Sept. 9th – Golf Tournament), or hold a food and fund drive for the benefit of the thousands of hungry people we help feed in Southeast Texas. There are many ways to help advance our mission and get more food to those in need.

Use the calendar here to help guide you to some daily Hunger Action activities that can make a difference in your life and the lives of those who rely on the Southeast Texas Food Bank. Fill a plate with hope this month!

Did you know that a $10 donation can help provide up to 40 meals for desperate people in your community? Rest assured, that every penny of your donation will be stretched to it’s maximum effect. By making a donation, you are helping to ensure that hungry children in Southeast Texas are adequately nourished, that none of our senior citizens are forced to chose between medicine and food, and that every family facing a crisis can at least have the assurance of food on the table.

Your gift goes a long, long way!
