Originally born and raised in Southwest Florida (Naples), from an early age, Tamara began her first private business at the age of 21 then over time moved across the U.S and lived in Europe for six years. A visit to S.E Texas resulted in the past 21 years as a resident land & home owner in Jasper County, TX.
Tamara joined the Southeast Texas Food Bank team in 2018 organizing our Food Drives and Community Relations, later graduating to Manager of Volunteer Services. During COVID, with the assistance of volunteers and community partners, developed our Enrichment Garden which allowed families to share time at the Food Bank during lock down. Our Enrichment Garden teaches those who have never had an opportunity to connect with gardening, how easy it is to grow your own basics, no matter how small the space.
Tamara previously worked 20+ years in the corporate sector to include Management, Executive Administration and Directorship across various industries including construction, manufacturing and Healthcare. Tamara discovered the passion to help those in need and is proud to be a part of an organization that serves the community where she resides.
Tamara is a proud mother to four children Blaise, Chelsea, Ciara and Brandon who live both local and out of state representing our U.S. Military. She is also Grandmother to four younglings Gabriel, Gavin, Layla and Elle. Serving on organizations over the past 40 years to include Methodist Youth Fellowship, Boy Scouts of America, Chamber of Commerce, Lions International and USAF Military Wives Network.
Hobbies include Travel, Culinary Arts, Gardening and Animal Rescue.
